Day 105

I have got to stay away from the campground! On the upside we did play 3 games of horseshoes and I walked 1.25 miles.

I'm the one in grey holding the bright pink dot in between turns.
This is a horrific side view of myself with my niece's hubby.
Myself and the pink dot (my great niece) up close.
Thanks to my sis for the pics :)

Day 104

We spent the evening at the campground again. Food was bad, but I did get some walking in. Maybe 1/2-3/4 a mile. Not near as much as I am use to, but we climbed a steep hill 2x. So maybe I burned a few calories.

Day 103

I slept from 9:30 pm til 11:30 am!! I was so exhausted.

Today was a go, go, go day. We had a ton of errands to run then we spent the afternoon at the campground with my sister and her family. Camping + smores = not.so.good. But my calories were within range after I walked a mile and a half. Cut into my exercise calories... again. I do not like that.

Ugh.

On the upside.. I found another pair of size 24 non-stretch jeans from Maurices in my closet. I put them on, and low-and-behold.. they were very comfortable. Even better than the other pair. Yay. I was also able to fit into some size xxl Old Navy t-shirts that I've had in a drawer forever because I was too fat for them. They are brand new and I never donated them because I hoped someday I would be able to wear them. It is someday! (I started in a tight 4x from Old Navy)! AND the scale was down a lb this morning. I probably blew that with the smores though.. but I am going to be hopeful.

Nite.

Day 102

Today has been a better day. Only low-grade fevers during the night with continuous meds. Both boys woke up feeling much better. Thank God for Tylenol/Ibuprofen and Keflex.

Food has been so-so. I ate more than I should have  not over what MFP says I can have in the day, but it did run into my exercise calories. I don't like to eat what I have burned off. I  got in a 4.25 mile walk this afternoon. That's a new personal record. Yay!  I haven't had any Diet Coke or caffeine of any assortment, and I've managed to get in all my water.

I am so drained, I could just fall over. Its not even 9pm and I am ready for bed.

Over and out.

Day 101

Yesterday, was insane!  I was concerned that Bailey would run a fever during the night after we picked him up from my sister's house, but thankfully, with round the clock meds, he did fine. I got up at 7:30 yesterday morning and took him to the doctor. We were there from 8am til noon!  But he still didn't have a significant fever. Just a headache, couch, runny nose, and sore throat.

As soon as we walk into the office he starts complaining of his stomach and asks to use the patient restroom back where the nurses are. A couple seconds later a nurse steps out and says she thinks he needs me that he is throwing up. I go into the bathroom and he has puke everywhere. So I had to clean that up. Thankfully they had paper towels, Lysol spray, and Clorox wipes available in the bathroom.

They move us to a room immediately. I'm sure they didn't want him spreading his germs. He gets up on the table and goes back to sleep and Dalton is asleep in my arms. Their normal doctor wasn't there so they had to see another and she acted like a total snot. Ugh.  Anyway she did a flu and strep screen. He tested positive for strep. She didn't test Dalton, because whatever is going on with Bai is what is wrong with Dalton too. She writes them some antibiotics and is gone in a flash. She didn't even give me time to ask her about giving meds for the fevers or what to give for the cough, etc. So I reach down to wake Bailey up and he is scorching hot. I go get a nurse to check his temp. It was 103. The nurse gets the doctor and she says to give him Tylenol and let him go. She could have cared less if he fell over, IMO.

I go to the pharmacy to get their meds filled, and give them the antibiotics before we leave the parking lot. It is about a 15-20 minute drive home. We had barely made it through the door before Bailey was puking again. I prayed he had absorbed some of the antibiotics in that time frame.

The rest of the day was a cough, sneeze, cry with your throat, and puke fest. I eventually had to give Bailey Phenergan. I don't like to give it to them because it makes you so sleepy, but he can't take Zofran. It gives him severe migraines and that is all he needed.

Dalton ran a low-grade fever all day, but it was manageable. Bailey on the other hand scared me to death. Even after alternating Tylenol/Ibuprofen around the clock we couldn't keep his fever down. It got up to 104 at one point. He took luke-warm showers, ate popsicles, drank cold water, had cool rags on his forehead, neck, arm pits and backs of his knees. We did it all. The kid was so miserable.

Even though he was miserable, he is still Bailey. And if you know Bailey, you know you can never expect what will come out of his mouth next. Here is a funny FB status update from yesterday. {{Bailey is finally awake. I ask him "Are you feeling better?" He says "I don't know." I reply, "You don't know? Do you feel any better at all?" He said "Well my stomach isn't hurting as bad." I say "That is because I gave you phenergan." He is suddenly wide awake .. "You did not give me phenergan." "Bailey, I know I did!" "You did not!" "Bailey, do you remember that little white pill I gave you 1/2 of?" "Yeah!" "Well, that was phenergan." "Mom! Are you saying phenergan or vinegar?" "Phenegran Bailey! Why on earth would I give you vinegar?" "Well, I don't know Mom. I'm not a doctor!" I have laughed until I cried.}}

I was really worried about how the night would go.. cause usually that is when fevers get the worst. But evidently the 3 doses of antibiotics had kicked in a little because with the Tylenol/Ibuprofen it was manageable. Thank God! It is 11 am and they are still resting. Normally I'd wake them, but I think I'll just let them rest. I'm sure their bodies need it.

I did fair yesterday with my calories. I didn't go over, but I cut it close.  No Diet Coke or caffeine at all for that matter and I did manage to walk 2.25 miles while watching Out of the Wild: Venezuela. I didn't know if I'd like that show, but it is pretty good. I ended up watching it on Netflix all afternoon.

So that was my day yesterday... now I better get up an start disinfecting this house.

Day 100

Day 100! Seriously?! WOW! I'm very proud of myself for sticking with my goals for 14 weeks and 2 days! Go me!!  I'm going to try to catch up on everything I didn't report in the past couple days... here we go...

Saturday was Day 98.  My nephew had spent the night with the boys Friday night so first thing we had to do was take him home. Next on the agenda was shampooing the carpet in the boys bedrooms. We had borrowed my FILs shampooer and needed to return it when we went down on Sunday.

The boys did most of the work as far as cleaning up the toys, etc so we could find the floor. I vacuumed both rooms and shampooed about 3/4 of Dalton's before Michael took over. For some reason it killed my back.

After the rooms were done we all showered and headed out. We had to take some things back to Tractor Supply and pick up feed, hay, and litter for the rabbits. Even though, at that point, I could have cared less if Bai's rabbit, Jabba, fell over dead. He bit a hunk out of my wrist! I was trying to get him out of his cage to clean the litter box. About the time I put my hand under his bottom he twisted around and latched onto the inside of my wrist. I couldn't get him loose and was in a panic. I'm sure it was pretty comical for Michael after he seen that I was going to be ok. There Jabba was, just hanging from my wrist, like it was the normal thing to do. It hurt like heck!

We stopped by JcPenney while we were out and about. Bai needed new jeans, they both needed a decent outfit to wear to church on Easter... as they've outgrown everything they have. Michael needed a couple shirts and so did I. We ended up spend a fortune that we really didn't have. But what can you do?

Next up was Walmart. I had to get candy for the boys Easter baskets and they picked out a toy. We don't do the Easter Bunny so they have a choice in what they recieve. Oh, and I had to get supplies to make desserts for both Mom's Easter dinner and Michael's Mom's cookout.

We had supper at Taco Bell. I had 2 soft tacos. Then ended up eating 2 more. I was absolutely starving. I had barely ate all day because I had been so busy. I know this is a major mistake. I should always take time to plan out what I am going to eat. Letting yourself get to that stage of hunger never has a good ending. At least not for me.

It was around 10 pm when we finally made it home. We still had to color eggs and I had desserts to make.. two cakes, two pies, and two packs of brownies. Thankfully I'm not really a fan of sweets so it wasn't that had for me to resist those.

We did eventually get it all done and get in bed.

Sunday was day 99. Michael, the boys, and I got up early and went to church with my family. Afterwards we came home to change and then went to Moms for Easter dinner. I ate, but really didn't go overboard.. until dessert. Like I said.. I'm not really a fan of dessert.. except when it comes to Mom's  homemade peach cobbler. Yeah.. I caved and ate probably a cup or two.

We hid eggs for the kids to hunt and I helped my sisters clean up the kitchen. Then it was time to hit the road again.

We drove a few counties over to the In-Law's cookout. I ate there too. A hamburger, some cauliflower, chips, dip, and several jello eggs. Yeah.. it was a bad day food wise. The kids had a blast playing at the parks playground and hunting eggs. It is always so much fun!  After the cookout, we drove over to the in-laws house for a few hours.

It was around 10 pm by the time we made it home. I got the boys showered, had a quick shower myself, and hit the hay. I was so exhausted!  It was a great family based weekend though.

Today, Monday, is day 100! I slept til noon and worked on cleaning the house up, cooking, and doing laundry. Michael cut grass while I was doing things inside.

Later, we loaded up the boys bikes and motorcycles into the truck and headed down to a nearby church parking lot to let them ride. I know to some people that may be strange, but the church parking lot is the only place we have around here they can bike safely. Its a huge parking lot and everyone around here uses it as a walking track and bike track. The church doesn't mind at all.

We had to stop by Mom and Dad's on the way so Michael could borrow an allen-wrench to tighten up Bai's handle bars. Those of you that read my blog regularly know what happened last time we took the boys bikes out. Michael's knee is still giving him issues after that one.

While we were at Mom's my niece called wanting the boys to come and spend the night. So instead of riding bikes we ended up taking the boys to meet my sister. They went home with her and we had to end up going to pick them up at midnight. Bailey got sick. He has a sore throat, fever, and headache. I'd say he has strep. It's a trip to the doctor for him tomorrow. I noticed Dalton has been sneezing a lot today. I hope he isn't coming down with something too.

In between dropping the boys off and picking them up, I walked 2 miles on the treadmill. It was really hard for me to get back on there after a few days off, but I managed it. I think I've just lost a little of my mojo that I had in the beginning but I will work hard to get it back.

Food today was pretty good. I didn't go over my limits. I drank some water, but not enough. And I had a Diet Coke. Still, it was a better day than yesterday and that is something, right?

I'm off to bed. I better get some rest while I can. It may be a long night.

Day 99

Easter! Lots-o-Food, not so Lots-o-Exercise.
Michael and I after church.
THEY FIT!
On an upside.. I comfortably fit into my size 24 non-stretch jeans from Maurices!
