Day 60

Sorry I didn't write last night.. I just can't seem to find the energy at the end of the day to do anything besides go to bed. My life is so crazy sometimes I feel like I am a top spinning in circles.

Anyway... Yesterday was a pretty good day. I drank my water, but not as much as I've been seeing some people drink on MyFitnessPal. I'm pretty sure you can over do it. I think 8-12 glasses a day is plenty. I still struggle with drinking plain water, so I do add some sort of Generic Crystal Light flavoring. The packages says to add 2 of the little packs to a gallon of water. I don't.. it is just too strong for me like that. I add one pack per gallon. That way it has flavor, but isn't overpowering and of course, less calories.

I kept my calories within my goal, but honestly, I could have made better choices. I really need to get out this afternoon to the grocery store. I just keep putting it off.

I walked 2 miles on the treadmill last night. I really wanted to do more because I want to reach my goal of losing 30 lbs by my birthday, but I just didn't have it in me to do it. My husband was watching that show Suns of Guns or something like that. I despise that show.. so I read while I was on there and my arms can only hold that huge book so long while walking. Eventually I caved and just got off the treadmill. Excuses I guess, but it is the truth.

I can not wait to get back to the rec center and work out. Its been a few days and I miss it. I really think we will end up renewing our membership if we can afford it. Michael and I really enjoy it. The boys like climbing the rock wall and playing in the tubes at the play area.. but they don't really like going with us to the gym. I wish there was something entertaining for them to do while we work out. Usually Bailey reads or plays his DSi. Dalton runs around the track, but it gets old. We always make sure they play before and after we work out, but they still get bored.

The scales were pretty nice yesterday. I hope they are as friendly today. Wish me luck!

  1. Congrats on 28lbs!!! That is an achievement! I DO see a difference in your pics you just posted so keep up the good work! You're doing much better than I am...I'm still stuck @ 218. BUT, I'm trying to look on the bright side that at least I am not hovering in the 220's anymore, and for me, that is huge. I did some core work today as my back is almost fully better, but I still get a twinge here and there, so I'm trying to take it slow. As a side note: My husband LOVES Sons of Guns, lol. He fancies himself a gunsmith and would like to do that as a side job, so your comment made me laugh. I always surf the web while it's on, or go to bed to read.

I read your post from I think it was day 58 or 59 about the chips and dip. Have you ever thought of portioning out a small amount for you to enjoy? That way, you aren't denying yourself completely. Your giving yourself a bit of a 'treat' to enjoy and then when your portion is gone, your done. I only ask because I swear I could live w/o breakfast, lunch, dinner, but I could live on appetizers and snacks. My fav snack ever is Tostitos chips with salsa and that jarred Queso cheese stuff. ***LOVE*** Or Fritos w/jalepeno cheese dip. Lately I haven't even had a taste for it, but I have been skipping the cheese (so hard, my fav thing in the world is cheese), but I'll allow a small serving of chips and salsa. It's enough to satisfy. I wasn't sure if you were following a specific diet, so it's just an idea. I find I can't follow a specific diet, like no carbs. I'm Italian and I can't do no carbs, lol. I live for bread (and cheese)!

Anyway, you're doing great and I'm giving you a high 5 from Ohio! (When is your bday? You can still hit that 30lb mark!!)
